JOIN US online for a series of 13 SHORT CONCERTS over 13 WEEKS featuring professional singers and pianists of HOS, past and present, as they share music that is important to them and why.

Starting SUNDAY, MAY 2nd, @3:00pmEDT each mini concert (approximately 30 minutes) will be available to enjoy in the comfort of your own home anytime during the week until the following Saturday. The next concert will be released the following Sunday @3:00pm and will be available for the following week.

Support these young professional artists by purchasing more than one viewing link. All funds will go toward performers' professional fees.

Chantale Nurse, Soprano & Eun-Boram Ahn, Piano

Join Chantal and Eun-Boram as they showcase and celebrate the voices and artistry of Black composers who call Canada their home.


Chantale Nurse

Soprano Chantale Nurse, a Canadian of Guyanese origin, is an international and seasoned performer. At Opéra de Montréal, Chantale was a featured soloist in most notably Sister Rose in Dead Man Walking, Clara in Porgy & Bess, and the roles of Sadie/Cousin Blanche in Terence Blanchard’s Champion. Role highlights include Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, Countess Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, and the title role in Tosca. Chantale has performed internationally as Maria in Grange Park Opera’s production of Porgy & Bess in London and in the Kunst am Kai festival in Lübeck, Germany, as Mary Dee in Sir Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Oratorio. Chantale is an avid recitalist and has collaborated with pianist Jérémie Pelletier, as well as concert pianist Janelle Fung.

Boram Ahn

Boram Ahn is a pianist and opera répétiteur currently based in Berlin. Her recent engagement in Germany includes Fidelio and Der Bettelstudent in Theater Osnabrück, Der Fliegende
Holländer and Elegies für Junge Liebende in Landestheater Detmold, Anatevka in Thüringer Schlossfestspiel Sondershausen, Salome and Luisa Fernanda at Theater Nordhausen. In summer 2015 and 2016, she was invited to join Narnia Festival Vocal Arts Program in Italy.
Boram Ahn was born and raised in South Korea and studied composition, piano performance,
and collaborative piano at McGill University. During her time in Montreal, she was actively involved in various vocal and chamber music recitals, choir accompaniment, opera productions, and new music projects.
