JOIN US online for a series of 13 SHORT CONCERTS over 13 WEEKS featuring professional singers and pianists of HOS, past and present, as they share music that is important to them and why.

Starting SUNDAY, MAY 2nd, @3:00pmEDT each mini concert (approximately 30 minutes) will be available to enjoy in the comfort of your own home anytime during the week until the following Saturday. The next concert will be released the following Sunday @3:00pm and will be available for the following week.

Support these young professional artists by purchasing more than one viewing link. All funds will go toward performers' professional fees.

Join ex-pat Canadians, Sara and Marie-Eve from the Opernhaus Zurich, Switzerland, as they bring us a pandemic-era recital featuring music of Canadian Metis composer, Ian Cusson, Livingston, Massenet, Mozart, Poulenc, and Rachmaninoff.


Sara Schabas

Sara Schabas is a Torontonian soprano currently living in Geneva, Switzerland. A regional finalist with the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and winner of the Career Blueprint Award and the Hnatyshyn Foundation Award for Vocal Performance, her recent performances include the title role in Vancouver Opera/POV's The Flight of the Hummingbird, her Dora-nominated portrayal of Anne Frank in Cecilia Livingston's Singing Only Softly, and the Dormouse in Pacific Opera Victoria's The Garden of Alice. She looks forward to her upcoming debut with Vienna’s Concentus Musicus in Dido and Aeneas and a return to Highlands Opera Studio as Zerlina in Don Giovanni.

Marie-Ève Scarfone

Marie-Ève Scarfone recently joined the music staff at Opernhaus Zürich after being the Head Coach of the Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal for three years. Her versatile career includes music directing, recitals, chamber music and education. She has been teaching at McGill University for many years as well as at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and the Lachine Academy. Her recitals and recordings with numerous artists have received international acclaim and were nominated for many prizes : Juno Awards, Adisq, Opus Prize and Gramophone magazine’s Critic’s choice.
