Description

Kathy Lawton Purc is native to New York State’s Finger Lakes region and now resides with her husband, John, in the charming Haliburton Highlands of Ontario, Canada.

A self-described late-blooming introvert, Kathy’s writing reflects her intimate connection to nature, her keen sense of belonging, and the deep meaning of home.

Humor is a thread that runs freely through the fabric of her stories and poems; and indulges a reader’s built-in human need to smile or laugh.

Kathy’s candid memoir style inspires readers to engage with their own forgotten memories. Many go on to share them, not only with the author, but with their friends, family, and even their book club! In a Baby Boomer audience, nostalgia runs rampant.

In her book-length memoir, Stone House Stories, The Memoir of a Free-Range Kid, Kathy shows that reframing difficult memories from the past with wisdom gained over time can bring about healing and a new path forward.
